22 Weeks

I feel like it was yesterday when I posted that I was 20 weeks.  Now I am 22 weeks and time continues to fly by!  Mackenzie is the size of a papaya.  She weighs about a pound and is between 8 to 10 inches long.  She now has eyebrows, eyelashes, and maybe even some hair on her head!  She can also perceive light and dark.  I'm slowly feeling her a little more each day.  Last night Joseph and I were able to see my tummy jump from her kicks.

Bed rest is still awful....there are days where I just want to get in the car and get out of the house, but thankfully Joseph has been great.  The other day I looked over at him and said "honey I am soooo bored," and his response was  "I'm sorry, but at least we are doing it as a family.  We are all here and bored."  I thought that was funny and sweet of him to say.  We have definitely gotten a lot of family time and I would not trade that for nothing.

God continues to bless the locksmith business.  Friday was a great day.  Joseph and Daniel normally ride together and work, but Friday they were so busy they both had to go separate ways.  It's amazing what God has done with the business in one year.  Keep on praying!  God is working!

21 Weeks

Mackenzie is 21 weeks.  She is the size of a large banana and continues to grow each day.  I went to the doctor on Tuesday and Mackenzie is great.  After my ultrasound they said that my placenta is still a marginal placenta.  I know in a previous post I wrote how it had moved, but apparently not.  I was pretty discouraged after the appointment, but I'm still praying that it will move.  I will go back in two weeks and if everything continues to look good, they will space out my next appointment to 4 weeks.  After that I believe we will be back at every two weeks.  Time is flying!  I can not believe how fast this pregnancy is going.  I still do not feel Mackenzie's kicks as often as I would like, but I'm trying to be patient.

we wait for it patiently."

Little Helpers

Since closing the shop in Gainesville and moving all of his stuff to our garage, Joseph has stressed about getting it organized.  Him and his mom worked on it a few days ago and Daniel came by and helped too.  Tonight after dinner Joseph asked Josiah if he wanted to help daddy and of course Josiah was excited to  "help."  I sat while the kids played and Joseph cleaned up and continued to set up his "shop."   Josiah rode on his scooter for a little while and sissy helped daddy.  She loves to clean up and organize, it's the cutest thing.  The best part of the night was watching the kids help Joseph unpack and put up locks on the shelves.  They were quite the little helpers.

Pray Pray Pray

Bleeding has completely stopped since Saturday evening!!!  My next appointment is not until Tuesday, but I wanted to call to see if they could see me before then. With the holiday weekend coming up I would love to be able to get out a little.  Not to mention I would love, love, love to go to church on Sunday.  I called and they asked me to go ahead and come in.  I go in tomorrow at 10:15 a.m.  I have been praying so hard this week, and asking God to let me get back on my feet.  We will find out tomorrow!  Praying, praying, praying for some good news.

 He hears us" 1John 5:14

Getting a Little Better

Joseph bought me some ribbon the other day!  He also bought me barrettes so that I can attach the bows to them.  Here are a couple of the ones I made this morning.  This is turning out to be a really fun hobby, and helps keep me occupied during my time on bed rest.

I had a lot of fun making this one!  Don't pay attention to my wrinkled pillow case ha!

I can not wait to see Mackenzie wear this one!  I made the bow and put it on a stretchy headband.

I made the bow and attached it to one of Mary Elisabeth's headbands.

I set this one on a smaller barrette.  I'm going to try to put it in Mary Elisabeth's hair to see how much hair you need for it.  I'm going to make this one in black, brown, white, and pink too.

I'm ordering some korker ribbon and I am really excited to make some korker bows!  Those are my favorite.  Also as soon as I get the go ahead from my hubby I will order the waffle crochet hats and crochet headbands.  I'm also ordering flowers to attach to them, but you can attach a bow to them as well.
